Virtual Paralegal Services
I can provide you with all of the services that an in-house paralegal does, but without the overhead. There is no retainer, no commitment, and if you are not happy with my services, you are free to simply stop sending me work!
How it Works
You send me an email, text or Instant Message telling me what you need. I will call whomever I need to, conduct whatever research is needed, prepare any required documents, draft any needed correspondence, and get back with you just as quickly as an in-house paralegal would. The amount of time it will take me to respond to your request, depends upon the task that needs to be performed.
Billing
All service are billed at the rate of $16 an hour. The minimum charge is 1/10th of an hour, or $1.60. I can send you a bill weekly, monthly, or any other time that you request. You will be billed for all postage expenses. There is no charge for phone calls, printing, copying, faxing, or preparing and sending invoices.
Task Specific Billing and Response Times
Answering Everyday Questions
General questions such as what is the filing fee for this, what IRS document do I need for that, or what does the Court say about X,Y, and Z can be answered within 1 business day. These types of questions usually take me 5-15 minutes to answer.
Legal Research
Need to know the state of the law, find an answer to a specific question, locate a certain case, or find cases to support your argument? I can generally find the answer to any legal question within one hour. I will then type a brief memo summarizing the law and/or cases, and send it to you along with the full text of the case(s), statute(s), or administrative law(s) cited.
Document preparation
If you have the forms, send them to me along with a scan of your client intake or notes, and I will prepare the pleadings and any other required documents and return to you within 2 business business days. If you do not have the forms, send me your client take or notes and I will find and/or create the appropriate documents and return to you within 5 business days.
